St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church (stpaulswilliamsville.org) is holding a Lenten food drive to support food pantries at Response to Love and Community of Good Neighbors. Both agencies support families on Buffalo’s east side, probably the city’s poorest community. Lacking access to major retail food stores, east side residents are forced to shop at smaller, local food stores where food prices can be 10% to 55% more expensive. This price differential forces families to either buy unhealthy alternatives or totally do without certain options.

The pantries at Response to Love and Community of Good Neighbors help families augment their food selection with healthy options. Please look at the list below and consider helping with our drive. An Amazon shopping list hast been prepared to make participation easier. Your purchases will be sent directly to St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 68 Eagle St. Williamsville, NY 14221. If you have any questions regarding this effort, please call 716-634-2330 or 716-207-2346.
