I have had the honor of serving here at St.Paul's since 2022 and it has been a joy. The Gospel drives the folks here at St. Paul's to go out into our community and serve as Christ. This community of faith has a calendar that revolves around serving the community in various ways each month of the year, which made me want to be here among the good people of St. Paul's. From building beds at Sleep in Heanly Peace to collecting food for local food pantries to making dozens of quilts a year to send all over the world through the effort of Lutheran World Relief.
In this broken world, with its trials and tribulations like death, divorce, sickness, and mistrust, God gives us an empty tomb. God gives us others to lean on. Those folks in our lives who fill us with hope, joy, and grace that the new resurrection dawn brings. Hope, joy, and grace, because in the death of Christ, there is sure and certain hope for resurrection.
As we read in Matthew, "In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven." (Matt. 5:16, NRSV). So may you let your light shine for all to see!
